Toyota Motor Corporation yesterday launched its new car Etios in India in order to combat with giant automobile manufacturers Honda, Ford and Suzuki. Toyota has set the price to a low level to compete with the low priced auto brands and to strengthen its sales ranking from seventh position to much better place.
Etios car set for sale yesterday in India for a price of 496,000 Indian rupees (about $10,900). This is Toyota’s cheapest offering in India and its price is less than that of Honda’s City car which sells at 815,000 rupees and of Ford’s Fiesta which sells at 589,030 rupees.
